"Gulf Express" is value added service for GCC countries

Emirates Post Group has highlighed the strong benefits of the Gulf Express (GulfEx), a fast inter-GCC mail service, because of its unique strengths of wide distribution and acceptance in all the Gulf states, according to Chief commercial Officer of Emirates Post, Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam, who stressed that GulfEx is a customized service for the GCC region, in contrast to the larger Express Mail Service (EMS) which is used all over the world.

Bin Karam said GulfEx is a result of the efforts of GCC postal administrations in upgrading the postal services, because GulfEx is strongly in the interest of the region's posts, especially since there are strong trade links between the Gulf states and are increasing exponentially, because this product enabled sending of small packets or ordinary mails. GulfEx thus plays an important role in the strengthening of trade links between Gulf states, especially since it is available in all post offices.

He reiterated that the GCC has succeeded over the past two decades in boosting economic relations with member countries, engendering closer economic integration and economic unity, with the GCC General Secretariat taking many important decisions in the postal field, led by the launch of "Gulf Express" service which contributes to the region's economic integration.
